We have just completed an absolutely wonderful private tour of Sri Lanka, and we could not be happier with the experience. From the very first contact, the organization was excellent, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to Susantha, who coordinated everything with great professionalism, care and attention to detail. What we particularly appreciated was the authenticity of the experience. This was not a standard, mass-tourism itinerary. The choice of smaller, charming and often very special properties made the journey feel genuinely connected to Sri Lanka. Every accommodation was different, but all were excellent, with beautiful locations, welcoming staff and a strong local character. Several of the small hotels and guesthouses also prepared wonderful dinners, often using fresh local ingredients and offering some of the best food we tasted during our stay. The itinerary itself was extremely well balanced, combining cultural sites, nature, wildlife, landscapes, local experiences and some truly unforgettable places. We always felt that there was a genuine intention to show us the real Sri Lanka rather than simply take us from one tourist attraction to another. A special mention absolutely deserves to go to Jayasiri (“Siri”), who accompanied us as our guide. He was simply outstanding. His knowledge of Sri Lankan history, culture, religion, traditions and everyday life was remarkable, but what made the difference was the way he shared it with us. He never limited himself to simply providing information: he helped us understand the places we visited and the people and traditions behind them. Siri was extremely kind, patient, attentive and professional throughout the entire journey. He was always available to answer our questions, happy to adapt when necessary and genuinely interested in making our experience as enjoyable as possible. His passion for his country was evident every day, and this made the tour much more meaningful. Another aspect we greatly appreciated was the flexibility and personal attention throughout the trip. We were travelling as a private group, and everything felt genuinely tailored to our needs rather than following a rigid programme. Even when small changes or unexpected situations arose, everything was handled calmly and efficiently. Sri Lanka itself is an extraordinary country, but having the right people to show it to you makes an enormous difference. Susantha’s organization and attention to detail, together with Siri’s knowledge, kindness and professionalism, made our journey truly special. We would therefore like to thank Susantha and the entire Voyage Sri Lanka Maldives team, and especially Siri, for giving us such a memorable experience. If you are looking for a private, authentic and carefully organized journey through Sri Lanka, with excellent small properties, wonderful local food and a guide who genuinely loves his country, we can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. I travelled to Sri Lanka with a large group of friends and basically no knowledge of the country, but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful journey of my life. Living in a huge city myself, it was a blessing to enjoy the peacefulness of this country, the beautiful and exotic nature, the diversity of its scenery and the kindness and quietness of its people. The trip was perfectly organized from pick-up at the airport to the farewell. And what I enjoy most with them is that they always put us in touch with local people, with whom we usually share exceptional times and often a meal too. Susantha, our local guide, was a gem. Very knowledgeable and eager to share his knowledge and his love of his country, explaining important things we would have missed otherwise, along the way, even adapting the program to include things that would be of interest to us and then… being so nice, so patient, so understanding and caring. 
I came back absolutely enchanted and would recommend this trip to anyone, young, old and in-between !

Très beau et intéressant voyage avec un guide et un chauffeur très gentils et investis dans leur travail, étant à notre écoute et répondant à nos souhaits. Nous avons pu côtoyer les sri lankais dans leur vie de tous les jours et apprécier leur bienveillance à notre égard.
